Metal details in boutique hotels and hospitality projects: how to plan repeating parts
In hotel and hospitality projects, the same part repeats in dozens of rooms. A small detail error becomes a big cost when multiplied.
Prototype first
Seeing a prototype before moving to serial production clarifies dimensions, finish and ease of use. Correcting a prototype is far cheaper than correcting a series.
Standard size and detail
Keeping the number of part types as low as possible makes production, later maintenance and replacement easier. Use the same leg, the same shelf and the same connection detail in every room.
Durability and care
In heavily used areas, choose surfaces that are easy to clean. Brushed stainless steel shows fewer marks from hands and luggage. Rounding the corners provides both safety and durability.
Spare parts and reorders
Keeping the drawings and the finish specification lets you have a missing or damaged part remade exactly the same, years later.
Delivery plan
For large-quantity orders, splitting delivery into batches can help match the hotel's opening schedule. The best time to discuss this is at the quoting stage.
